The Crescent Dermatology Association is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and all contributions are tax-deductible. Every donor receives an official receipt for their records.

As a physician-led professional society, CDA is committed to maintaining the operational, financial, and legal infrastructure required of a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Community support allows us to responsibly manage essential functions such as insurance coverage, accounting, bookkeeping, legal compliance, and administrative coordination, while continuing to expand high-quality programming and member benefits.

  • Host meetups at major conferences like AAD, ASDS, and ACMS

  • Support residents in attending our events—we’ve been able to cover their hotel accommodations, and with more funding, we hope to also cover their travel expenses

  • Grow our Annual CDAC Conference each year with expanded programming

  • Keep events free or subsidized for members

  • Provide scholarships and observership opportunities, including funding for medical students and residents to travel and spend time in person with CDA mentors

  • Sustain core operations such as legal, accounting, bookkeeping, and coordination
